About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Company Description Gift is a social platform designed to build genuine connections around shared interests, whether within creator communities, brand fan bases, or groups of people who simply love the same things. Instead of anonymous interactions and self-promotion, Gift focuses on celebrating others through meaningful “gifts” like photos, videos, and links that reflect real relationships. User identities are shaped by what others share with them, creating profiles grounded in community appreciation rather than self-curated performance. This approach enables creators and brands to foster thriving, engaged communities built on authentic interactions. Gift is guided by the belief that social media should bring people together in ways that feel personal, positive, and real.
Role Description The Social Media Intern is a remote, contract role responsible for supporting Gift’s presence across key social platforms. In this role, the intern will assist with planning and creating social media content, including posts, short-form video, and community updates aligned with the brand’s voice and mission. Tasks include scheduling content, monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages, and identifying opportunities to highlight creators and communities on Gift. The intern will help track basic performance metrics, share insights with the team, and contribute ideas for campaigns that encourage authentic interaction and growth. Collaboration with marketing and product team members is expected, with a focus on learning, experimenting, and refining social media efforts.
