Vice President of Film Distribution
Lima Films is looking for an experienced film distribution professional to help lead the distribution and sales strategy for our growing slate of films.
This is a commission-based executive opportunity for someone with established relationships across the film distribution and content acquisition industry.
We are looking for a professional who understands the marketplace, knows the buyers, and can help move Lima Films projects toward meaningful distribution opportunities.
The Opportunity
Lima Films has a growing slate of packaged and completed films and is looking for a VP of Film Distribution to help develop and execute distribution strategies for our projects.
The ideal candidate will bring existing industry relationships and help connect our films with the right distributors, streaming platforms, broadcasters, theatrical partners, international buyers and acquisition executives.
Depending on the project, opportunities may include:
Domestic and international distribution
Theatrical distribution
Film licensing
Pre-sales and Minimum Guarantees (MGs)
SVOD, TVOD, AVOD and FAST
Television and broadcast
International territory sales

What You’ll Do
Develop distribution strategies for Lima Films projects
Identify the best buyers and distribution partners for each film
Present projects to distributors, platforms and acquisition executives
Generate domestic and international sales opportunities
Build relationships with distribution and acquisition partners
Pursue licensing, distribution, pre-sale and MG opportunities
Assist with negotiations and deal structures
Help determine the best distribution path for each project
Work with our team on decks, screeners, cast materials and other sales assets
Track opportunities and keep the team informed on active discussions

VOD, SVOD, AVOD or FAST
Independent film
The most important qualification is an established network of legitimate industry buyers and distribution partners.
We are looking for someone who understands the market and can open the right doors.
A large LinkedIn network or general entertainment contacts alone are not what we're looking for. The ideal candidate should have active industry relationships that can be leveraged for Lima Films projects.

Compensation
This is a commission-based executive position with no traditional salary.
The selected candidate will earn commission on qualifying sales, licensing agreements, distribution deals, MGs, pre-sales and other revenue-generating transactions they originate and/or close for Lima Films.
Commission terms will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience and scope of responsibilities.
