The company’s mission is to support new developers so they feel less lost when learning to code and entering the tech market. Dev em Dobro focuses on the rapidly growing technology sector, guiding learners toward real employment opportunities. The team is developing a full-stack web development course designed to help participants secure a frontend developer role within approximately seven months. Role Description The Vice President of Finance will oversee the financial strategy and performance of Dev em Dobro in a part-time, remote capacity. This role includes leading financial planning processes, managing budgets and forecasts, and ensuring accurate preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports. The Vice President of Finance will monitor cash flow, support pricing and revenue models for courses, and provide data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions. Daily responsibilities also include implementing financial controls, collaborating with leadership on growth initiatives, and maintaining compliance with relevant financial and accounting standards. The role requires close partnership with founders and cross-functional teams to align financial goals with the company’s educational and business objectives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Analytical Skills to guide strategic decision-making and business growth.
Candidates should possess experience in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting to manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Candidates should possess expertise in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, CPA) are a plus.
Proven experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably in education, technology, or high-growth environments.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities in a part-time schedule, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
Experience with financial modeling, budgeting tools, and modern accounting or ERP systems; familiarity with online course or subscription business models is beneficial.
