Overview:
Our client is a well-established custom cabinet manufacturer with over 21 years of experience in the residential cabinetry industry based in Minnesota. They are seeking a precise, detail-driven Cabinet Drafter & CNC Production Specialist with proven Mozaik software experience to take ownership of drafting custom residential cabinet plans and CNC production files.
Reporting directly to the business owner, you will remove critical design bottlenecks by converting residential concepts into detailed, machine-ready shop drawings. In this hands-on technical role, you will manage multiple cabinet projects simultaneously, ensuring all dimensions, hardware specs, and cut lists translate seamlessly into CNC operations for flawless shop production.
Schedule: Monday to Friday | Flexible between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM US Central Time | Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
Mozaik Drafting & Production Preparation
Draft detailed custom cabinet plans and shop drawings using Mozaik software for residential kitchens, entertainment centers, entryways, and mudrooms
Prepare accurate construction drawings, elevations, and cut lists that integrate directly with CNC machine operations and nested-based manufacturing
Review project specifications, field measurements, and architectural briefs to ensure technical drafting accuracy before releasing plans to the shop floor
Maintain organized digital project files, Mozaik tool libraries, and documentation across all active client accounts
Technical Collaboration & Process Scaling
Collaborate closely with the business owner to clarify design intent, material selections, hardware parameters, and custom joinery details
Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously while maintaining strict quality control and delivery timelines
Adapt to evolving shop standards and drafting guidelines as the company expands its manufacturing capacity
Identify and resolve design discrepancies proactively before materials reach production
Requirements:
Cabinet Drafting Track Record: 2+ years of technical drafting experience specializing in custom residential cabinetry, kitchens, and architectural millwork
Mozaik Software Expertise: Mandatory, hands-on professional experience drafting custom cabinet plans using Mozaik software
CNC Manufacturing Awareness: Solid understanding of custom cabinet construction methods, hardware machining, joinery, and how drawings translate to CNC router output
Autonomous Execution: Ability to manage a multi-project drafting queue independently with minimal supervision while upholding high accuracy
Technical Stack & Tools:
CAD/CAM Software: Mozaik Design & Manufacturing Software (Mandatory)
CNC & Machine Integration: Mozaik CNC / Nesting Modules
Productivity & Communication: Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel / PDF Mark-Up Tools, Zoom, Slack / Email
