Role Description The Car, EV Engineering Expert will provide technical guidance and support on electric vehicles and automotive systems in a full-time remote capacity. This role involves advising customers and internal teams on EV technologies, performance, safety, and maintenance best practices. The expert will assist with product evaluations, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to training materials and knowledge bases. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with customer service and sales teams to address inquiries, supporting insurance-related assessments for EV and automotive products, and helping refine processes that improve customer experience and operational efficiency. The role may also involve working with cross-functional stakeholders to inform product enhancements and contribute to technical documentation.
Qualifications
Customer-facing skills, including strong Customer Service capabilities and the ability to communicate complex EV and automotive concepts clearly.
Deep knowledge of Automotive systems and Electric Vehicle engineering, including diagnostics, performance analysis, and safety standards.
Experience delivering Training, such as technical workshops, instructional content, or onboarding programs for customers or internal teams.
Background in Sales or pre-sales support, with the ability to align technical solutions with customer needs and business objectives.
Familiarity with Insurance considerations related to vehicles and EVs, including risk assessment and coverage implications.
Relevant degree or certification in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical data.
Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating technical documentation or guidance materials.
Prior experience in EV-specific projects, automotive service operations, or technical consulting is preferred but not required.
