Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an MD | Sonologist | Diagnostic Ultrasound professional. The role involves performing and interpreting diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate clinical assessments. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, selecting appropriate ultrasound protocols, conducting scans, documenting findings, and preparing clear, concise reports for referring clinicians. The professional will collaborate with healthcare teams, provide consultative input on complex cases, and follow evidence-based guidelines and relevant regulations. Additional tasks may include maintaining competency with ultrasound technology, participating in quality assurance activities, and contributing to standardized workflows that align with the company’s operational processes.
Qualifications
Medical credentials: Completed medical degree (MD or equivalent) and formal training in diagnostic ultrasound/sonology; board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty is highly preferred.
Clinical ultrasound expertise: Strong skills in performing and interpreting a range of ultrasound studies (e.g., abdominal, pelvic, vascular, small parts, obstetric where applicable), with meticulous attention to image quality and diagnostic accuracy.
Technical and digital proficiency: Ability to work with modern ultrasound equipment, PACS/RIS, electronic health records, and secure telemedicine or remote reporting platforms.
Analytical and documentation skills: Proficiency in clinical reasoning, report writing, and structured documentation that supports clear communication with referring clinicians.
Communication and collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams across remote settings.
Regulatory and safety knowledge: Familiarity with relevant clinical guidelines, privacy regulations, infection control principles, and best practices for patient safety in imaging.
Work style and professionalism: Ability to manage a full-time remote workload independently, maintain consistent productivity and accuracy, and respond promptly to clinical requests.
Preferred experience: Prior experience in tele-sonology or remote reporting, exposure to logistics or multi-site healthcare delivery models, and comfort working with standardized protocols and performance metrics.
