Role Description This is a full-time Sales Manager role based in Pollachi, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site responsibilities and some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Manager will oversee branch and field sales operations, drive customer acquisition for loans and savings products, and ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities include planning and executing sales strategies, monitoring performance metrics, guiding and mentoring the sales team, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating with internal stakeholders at RBL FinServe and RBL Bank, and preparing regular sales reports and market insights. The Sales Manager will also identify new business opportunities, support process improvements, and contribute to training initiatives that enhance team productivity and customer service quality.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in banking, NBFCs, or financial services, with a track record of achieving revenue and growth targets.
Strong skills in team leadership, performance management, and coaching, with the ability to motivate and develop frontline sales staff.
Solid understanding of retail lending, savings products, and microfinance or mass-market financial services, including basic credit and risk concepts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with customers, influence stakeholders, and handle conflict constructively.
Ability to analyze sales data, prepare reports, and use insights to improve sales strategies and operations.
Comfort with fieldwork in and around Pollachi, and readiness to work in a hybrid model combining office, field, and remote tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or sales tracking tools; local language fluency along with strong English skills is beneficial.
High level of integrity, customer-centric mindset, and commitment to financial inclusion and ethical sales practices.
