Part-time Industrial Designer — Consumer Electronics

About the role
We’re looking for an industrial designer to help develop an early-stage consumer product concept into a 3D model suitable for prototype development. You’ll explore design directions, refine a selected concept, and prepare clear CAD files for review and prototyping.
Responsibilities
Develop 2–3 distinct design concepts based on a project brief.
Refine the selected concept through feedback and design reviews.
Create a detailed 3D model and assembly in Fusion 360.
Consider usability, proportions, materials, assembly, and practical prototype requirements.
Prepare files for 3D printing and initial prototype testing.
Provide clear renders or views to communicate the design.
Hand over editable Fusion 360 files and agreed export formats.
Qualifications
Experience in industrial design, product design, or a related field.
Strong Fusion 360 skills and experience creating product assemblies.
A portfolio showing physical product concepts and 3D CAD work.
Understanding of basic prototyping and design-for-manufacturing considerations.
Able to work independently, communicate progress, and incorporate feedback.
