Department/Team: Shipping Administration
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel Requirements: None
Key Technologies/Tools: Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as GACagent and GACShip (training provided on the job).
Desk Job: Must be able to sit long periods of time at a computer.
What would your day at GAC look like?
Maintain, update, validate, and upload customer tariffs, supplier tariffs, port tariffs, and service rate structures within GACagent.
Perform customer and supplier master data maintenance, including Know Your Customer (KYC) updates, tariff calculations, periodic reviews, and data audits to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
Investigate and resolve tariff-related discrepancies and coordinate with Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure data remains current, accurate, and reliable.
Gather, maintain, and organize data to support data management initiatives and business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accurately collected, analysed, and maintained.
Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions to improve data quality, integrity, and reliability.
Maintain customer master data and ensure billing instructions are accurately recorded and updated within GACagent.
Provide local system and process training to employees requiring additional support, ensuring effective utilization of GACagent and related data management processes.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance data management, tariff maintenance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, etc.) preferred.
Proficient computer skills, strong communication skills, strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
Customer and Supplier Tariff Administration, Commercial Data Management, Database Maintenance, Data Analysis, Data Reporting, Pricing and Rate Management,
Understanding of vessel agency charging structures, port tariffs, supplier costs, and customer pricing models preferred.
Soft Skills
Organizational Skills – Able to manage multiple tasks and requests simultaneously without losing track of deadlines or follow-ups.
Adaptability – Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where priorities can shift with little notice.
Team Collaboration – Works effectively across GAC offices, agent networks, and internal teams, contributing to a culture of shared accountability and mutual support.
Communication Skills – Able to effectively and clearly communicate thoughts and ideas, using appropriate language and grammar.
