Recently named by Newsweek as one of the Best American Mid-Sized Workplaces in 2026, Rohde & Schwarz is seeking an experienced technology leader to serve as a senior technical resource supporting strategic growth initiatives, priority customer engagements, technology planning, and capture activities across Electronic Warfare, SIGINT, Spectrum Operations, and mission-critical communications markets. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this role helps align customer mission requirements with Rohde & Schwarz capabilities, emerging technologies, and product development efforts. The primary purpose of this role is to leverage deep domain expertise and market insight to support strategic growth initiatives, major capture activities, and key customer pursuits across the U.S. Aerospace & Defense business. Other responsibilities support this mission and should be prioritized accordingly. Candidates will have deep technical knowledge of RF systems engineering, a proven track record in product leadership, and the entrepreneurial drive to Make Ideas Real.
Your tasks
Provide market, customer, and competitive insights to product management, engineering, and R&D organizations.
Help align customer requirements, future capability needs, and emerging technologies with current and future product offerings.
Support the transition of new technologies into customer opportunities and operational programs.
Serve as a mentor and technical resource across sales, engineering, program management, and business development teams.
Support technical messaging, presentations, solution assessments, demonstrations, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Serve as a senior technical contributor for the U.S. Aerospace & Defense business's highest-priority growth initiatives, strategic captures, and customer pursuits.
Partner with account managers, business development, engineering teams, and program leaders to develop winning technical strategies and differentiated solutions for major opportunities.
Identify emerging mission needs, technological trends, competitive developments, and strategic partnerships that strengthen future growth and capture activities.
Serve as a trusted technical resource during customer engagements, executive briefings, technical discussions, demonstrations, and mission-focused workshops.
Build and maintain relationships with government, military, industry, and partner organizations while helping customers evaluate emerging technologies and future mission capabilities.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years of experience in Aerospace & Defense, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, SIGINT, Spectrum Operations, RF Systems, Communications, or related mission-focused technologies.
Demonstrated ability to translate customer mission requirements into technical solutions and business opportunities.
Strong understanding of defense acquisition processes, operational concepts, and government customer environments.
Experience supporting strategic captures, customer engagements, technical discussions, and proposal development.
Working knowledge of RF systems, communications technologies, networking, software-defined systems, and related defense technologies.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (~40%).
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with the U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Federal Civilian, or international defense organizations.
Experience with Electronic Warfare, SIGINT, Spectrum Monitoring, Tactical Communications, and MOSA initiatives including SOSA, CMOSS, and MORA.
Established relationships within the U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and broader U.S. Aerospace & Defense market.
Active or previously held U.S. security clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $178K-$230K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
