The Foundation will establish an elite, private, first-of-its-kind Aerospace University within the prestigious Bharat Future City corridor near Hyderabad. Envisioned in strategic structural collaboration with a top-tier, highly reputed university in the United States, this landmark institution will bridge the gap between global academic research and India’s rapidly growing commercial aerospace and defense ecosystem.
Position Overview
Title: Honorary Vice Chairman
Organization: ANCONS Aerospace Educational Foundation
Location: Hyderabad / Bharat Future City (Hybrid / Flexible)
Nature of Role: Advisory & Co-Founding Leadership (Honorary / Executive Track)
Pre-requisite: Ph.D. in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering from a premier institution (IITs, IISc, or top-tier Global/US Universities), with a stellar track record in academic leadership or strategic defense R&D.
Role Summary
The Honorary Vice Chairman will serve as the co-founding visionary of the Foundation, driving the academic blueprint and statutory framework required to launch the proposed university. Working alongside the Managing Founder, the Honorary Vice Chairman will co-sign and spearhead the formal establishment application submitted to the Government of Telangana under the Private Universities Act.
Strategic Progression Note: Upon the successful sanction and statutory passing of the university charter by the government, the Honorary Vice Chairman will be positioned as the primary candidate considered for the apex executive post of Vice Chancellor of ANCONS Aerospace University (subject to the standard statutory Search Committee procedure shortlisting three distinguished individuals).
Key Responsibilities
1. Co-Founding & Governance Strategy
Serve as a core member of the Foundation's Board, providing elite academic credibility and strategic direction.
Co-author and sign the master proposal and Detailed Project Report (DPR) to establish the private university in the Bharat Future City.
Engage with high-level government panels, statutory bodies (UGC/AICTE state committees), and industry regulators to secure necessary approvals and charters.
2. International Academic Institutional Collaboration
Actively bridge dialogues with the partner US University to structure dual-degree programs, credit transfer mechanisms, joint research setups, and faculty exchange protocols.
Design a futuristic curriculum that blends rigorous aerospace theory with industrial defense applications, distinct from traditional mechanical engineering pipelines.
3. Ecosystem Architecture & Master Planning
Advise on the infrastructural master plan for the greenfield campus in Bharat Future City, specifically regarding advanced aerodynamic labs, propulsion cells, clean rooms, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) centers.
Cultivate strategic tie-ups with Hyderabad’s local aerospace giants (DRDO, DRDL, ASL, Tata Advanced Systems, Adani Aerospace, and leading startups) to ensure deep industry-academia integration from day one.
Desired Profile & Experience
Academic Pedigree: Must hold a formal Ph.D. in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering.
Experience Baseline: Recently retired or currently serving senior Professor, Head of Department (HoD), Director, or Dean from premier institutions like older IITs, IISc, or a top-tier US university. Alternatively, an Outstanding Scientist / Director from strategic defense labs (DRDO/ISRO) with a strong academic footprint.
Visionary Leadership: Strong understanding of both Western (specifically US) university administrative structures and the Indian regulatory landscape.
Passion for Institutional Building: Individuals who possess an uncompromised desire to execute an educational legacy project, untethered by legacy bureaucratic constraints.
