Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer & Data Visualization Engineer with 6+ years of experience who can work across both data engineering and business intelligence/visualization.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and developing data models, data pipelines, and analytical solutions using SAP Datasphere and Microsoft Fabric, along with strong expertise in developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
This role requires a hands-on generalist who can work across the complete data lifecycle from understanding business reporting requirements and preparing data to building scalable data models and delivering polished, business-ready visualizations.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and data pipelines using SAP Datasphere and Microsoft Fabric.
Develop and optimize data integration and transformation processes to support reporting and analytics requirements.
Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, KPIs, metrics, and analytical needs.
Translate business requirements into technical data solutions, semantic models, dashboards, and reports.
Design and implement analytical data models suitable for reporting and business intelligence.
Develop high-quality Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations with a strong focus on usability and performance.
Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets, measures, and relationships.
Perform data preparation, cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Work across the SAP Datasphere Microsoft Fabric Power BI ecosystem to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.
Optimize data models, queries, pipelines, and Power BI reports for performance and scalability.
Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, architects, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot data pipeline, modeling, reporting, and visualization issues.
Ensure data quality, governance, consistency, and reliability across analytical solutions.
Participate in requirement discussions, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Required Technical Skills
SAP Datasphere
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere.
Experience designing and developing data models and analytical models.
Experience with data integration, transformation, and data preparation within Datasphere.
Understanding of Datasphere architecture and its role in enterprise analytics.
Microsoft Fabric
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Experience working with Fabric data engineering and analytics capabilities.
Understanding of data pipelines, data transformation, and analytical data models within the Fabric ecosystem.
Ability to integrate and work across SAP and Microsoft data environments.
Power BI
Strong hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Experience creating semantic models, datasets, relationships, measures, and calculated metrics.
Strong understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design.
Experience with DAX and Power BI data modeling.
Ability to optimize Power BI reports and models for performance.
Experience translating business requirements into intuitive and actionable dashboards.
Data Engineering & Modeling
Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and data modeling.
Experience designing scalable data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts such as fact tables, dimension tables, star schemas, and semantic layers.
Experience working with structured and enterprise data sources.
Strong data validation and troubleshooting capabilities.

Ability to understand complex business reporting requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Mandatory Requirement
Candidates Must Have Hands-on Experience Across BOTH Areas
Data Engineering: SAP Datasphere + Microsoft Fabric + Data Modeling/Pipelines
Data Visualization: Power BI + Semantic Modeling + Dashboard/Report Development
Candidates with experience only in Data Engineering or only in Power BI/Visualization will not be suitable for this position.
Preferred Profile
6+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, or related areas.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
Proven experience delivering end-to-end data and visualization solutions.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to convert reporting requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
Comfortable working across data preparation, engineering, modeling, semantic layer development, and visualization.
