About The Role
You'll join the team building C# connectors on existing .NET framework and integration model each connector composed of two services plus a
lightweight API touch-point, integrating with vendor vulnerability-management platforms (Qualys VMDR, Microsoft Defender VM, Rapid7
InsightVM) and writing structured data into PostgreSQL. This is hands-on product development work, not maintenance you'll be extending a live
integration model with new vendor connectors.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and build C# connector services that authenticate against vendor APIs using credentials already captured in UI/PostgreSQL credential
store.
Implement the data-ingestion service: call vendor APIs to pull assets, vulnerabilities, impacted products and remediation data; handle pagination,
retries, and rate-limit back-off; persist raw responses to PostgreSQL.
Implement the correlation/enrichment service: extract asset identifiers, attach CVE and remediation details, and write structured
device vulnerability product remediation mappings to PostgreSQL, including minor per-provider schema updates.
Build the test-connection API touch-point: validate credentials interactively and on save; auto-disable integrations on repeated 401/403 responses
to avoid vendor rate-limit issues.
Apply established design patterns and SOLID principles so each connector is scalable, reusable, and consistent with the existing integration
model.
Write clean, well-tested code in an Agile environment; contribute to code reviews and development best practices.
Communicate clearly with the team on design tradeoffs, estimates, and technical risk.
Required Skills
4+ years professional experience in C# / .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC
Strong experience building and consuming RESTful/Web APIs, including third-party vendor API integrations
Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL (or similar RDBMS) and SQL/T-SQL, including schema evolution
Experience with ADO.NET / LINQ, JSON & XML data handling
Understanding of authentication/credential-handling patterns and secure storage of secrets
Familiarity with retry/back-off patterns, pagination handling, and rate-limit management when integrating with external APIs
Experience writing Windows Console Applications and/or background services
Working knowledge of Git/TFVC and Agile delivery (JIRA or equivalent)
Strong written and spoken English; ability to work with distributed/on-site offshore teams
Good to Have
Prior exposure to vulnerability-management platforms (Qualys, Microsoft Defender, Rapid7) or the security product domain
Experience with Azure or AWS services
Knowledge of OWASP security principles and data encryption practices
Exposure to CI/CD, unit testing, and automation practices
