Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive/Assistant Manager role based in Pune. The role involves generating and managing leads, conducting client meetings, and presenting IndiaMART’s solutions to prospective and existing business customers. The individual will be responsible for explaining platform offerings, negotiating and closing sales, onboarding new clients, and ensuring their smooth transition onto the marketplace. Day-to-day activities include maintaining a robust sales pipeline, meeting assigned revenue and activity targets, updating sales reports and CRM records, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve client queries. The role also includes regular follow-ups, relationship management with key accounts, and gathering market feedback to support product and process improvements.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, build pipelines, and achieve revenue targets.
Client relationship and account management capabilities, including effective negotiation, presentation, and follow-up skills.
Comfort with digital platforms and basic proficiency in using CRM tools, MS Office, and online communication applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and relevant local languages, with confident interpersonal and networking abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Prior experience in B2B sales, field sales, or digital marketplace/SAAS sales is preferred, especially within SME-focused environments.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines in a target-driven environment, and adapt to a dynamic, growth-oriented organization.
Willingness to travel locally within Pune as required for client meetings and business development activities.
