Senior Façade Designer
*Position:* Senior Façade Designer

*Salary:* ₹70,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month, based on experience and technical capability
*Working Hours:* 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday to Friday
*Weekly Off:* Saturday & Sunday
### Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong *Senior Façade Designer* with 6–12 years of relevant experience to join our façade design and detailing team.
The candidate should be capable of *handling assigned façade design and drawing packages with minimal supervision, while working under the overall direction of the **Team Leader / Design Manager*.
The role involves preparing and coordinating detailed façade drawings, shop drawings and fabrication details, identifying technical issues and delivering accurate drawings within project requirements and deadlines.
### Key Responsibilities
* Handle assigned *façade drawing and detailing packages* from initial information through to completion.
* Prepare accurate *2D and 3D CAD drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings and construction details*.
* Translate architectural and engineering information into practical and buildable façade details.
* Work to instructions and design requirements provided by the *Team Leader / Design Manager*.
* Review design information and identify detailing, coordination and constructability issues.
* Coordinate façade details with architectural, structural and other interfaces.
* Incorporate technical comments and design changes accurately.
* Carry out internal drawing checks before submission to the Team Leader / Design Manager.
* Maintain drawing quality, revisions and project documentation.
* Support the Team Leader / Design Manager in resolving technical drawing and detailing issues.
* Review and provide technical guidance to junior designers when required.
* Manage assigned priorities and deliver work within agreed project programmes and deadlines.
### Façade System & Technical Knowledge
The candidate should have good practical knowledge of a range of façade systems, including:
* *Curtain Walling – Stick & Unitized Systems*
* *Skylights and glazed roof systems*
* Aluminium windows and doors
* Structural glazing
* Cladding and rainscreen systems
* Louvres and architectural screening
* Aluminium framing and façade components
* Glass and glazing details
* Brackets, anchors and fixing arrangements
* Basic fabrication, assembly and installation requirements
The candidate should understand how façade components are *detailed, fabricated, assembled and installed*, and be able to translate this knowledge into practical shop and fabrication drawings.
### AutoCAD & Technical Drawing Skills
*Strong AutoCAD experience is mandatory.*
The candidate should demonstrate good capability in:
* *AutoCAD 2D & 3D*
* Detailed shop drawings
* Fabrication drawings
* Plans, elevations and sections
* Façade component detailing
* Connection and interface details
* 3D representation and coordination
* Drawing revisions and document control
Experience with other relevant design software will be an advantage.
### Working Capability
The successful candidate should be able to:
* Understand project requirements and instructions with minimal supervision.
* Organise and manage assigned drawing work effectively.
* Develop drawings from available design information.
* Identify missing information and raise appropriate technical queries.
* Take ownership of drawing quality and timely delivery.
* Resolve routine detailing and coordination issues.
* Escalate complex technical matters to the *Team Leader / Design Manager* when required.
* Support junior designers through technical guidance and drawing reviews.
