Responsibilities:
You will be working with a team of talented engineers, Project Management, and get a chance to work closely with our customers to solve problems and build software that impacts daily operations of energy utilities.
As a Software Engineer, you will take part in Requirement gathering, Efforts estimation, Design and Development for our enterprise product iTOA (integrated Tools for Operations Application).
Technical Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of industry software engineering, software development experience
B.E. or M. Tech in Computer Science or related disciplines or equivalent
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in object-oriented languages and database querying languages.
Strong coding, debugging, algorithm design and problem-solving skills.
We are currently hiring candidates with a strong knowledge of:
Front-end Technologies:
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and responsive web design.
- Experience with React, Angular or similar frameworks
- Bonus: Knowledge of TypeScript, Webpack, LESS, SASS.
Back-end Technologies:
- Java, J2EE
- Hibernate, JPA, Spring, Spring Boot
- RESTful API, SOAP API, GraphQL
- SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server
Bonus: Knowledge of Maven, Hibernate Caching, Message Queues
We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of solid real-world work experience with the
above technologies. You should be able to demonstrate your expertise and back your experience.
Additionally, on the non-technical side, here are our expectations:
Work closely with product manager, development lead and users to gather requirements and translate them into scenarios and actual code.
Ability to estimate effort required to complete assigned projects/enhancements
Collaborate with QA team to ensure quality of software deliverables.
Effective and positive communication skills
Motivation to document work and also write technical/functional specifications.
Day to day work will also involve ad-hoc end-user customer support.
