Role Description
The Assistant Project Manager – MEP is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram, responsible for supporting end-to-end management of MEP works across warehouse and retail infrastructure projects. This role includes coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and site engineers to ensure timely material delivery, adherence to drawings and specifications, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The Assistant Project Manager will track project progress, maintain documentation, assist in scheduling and resource planning, and support inspections and testing of MEP installations. Daily responsibilities also involve expediting critical activities, resolving site-level issues, aligning logistics and procurement with project timelines, and preparing status reports and updates for senior project managers and clients. The role requires close collaboration with civil, HVAC, electrical, and fire safety teams to ensure integrated project execution.
Qualifications
Experience in expediting and working as an expeditor, with the ability to follow up on materials, approvals, and contractor activities to keep MEP works on schedule.
Skills in project management, including planning, tracking milestones, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting PMC/turnkey project delivery.
Exposure to inspection processes, quality checks, and verification of MEP, HVAC, electrical, and fire safety installations against design and standards.
Logistics management capabilities to align procurement, delivery, and site requirements for smooth execution of warehouse and retail infrastructure projects.
Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent project management experience in MEP or construction.
Knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) and basic understanding of relevant codes and industry standards.
Proficiency in MS Office and project tracking tools; ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight timelines.
Prior experience in warehouse, industrial, or retail infrastructure projects in PAN India is an advantage
