Role Description The Design Engineer will work on-site in Rajkot, Gujarat, India in a full-time capacity, supporting the engineering and design of electrical distribution panels and related industrial solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing detailed designs and drawings, preparing technical specifications, and using CAD tools to model products and assemblies. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, and project teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant standards and client requirements. The Design Engineer will participate in design reviews, support testing and commissioning activities, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in product and system design. The role may also require coordination with suppliers and customers to address technical queries and support project delivery timelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Design Engineering and Product Design for industrial electrical solutions.
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering with a strong understanding of power distribution systems and industrial electrical equipment.
Candidates should possess skills in Mechanical Engineering for component layout, structural integrity, and enclosure design.
Candidates should possess skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for creating detailed drawings and models.
Relevant engineering degree or diploma (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline).
Knowledge of applicable electrical standards, safety regulations, and industrial practices.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and specifications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional and site teams.
Experience in panel design, renewable energy systems, or industrial projects is an advantage.
