Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Coimbatore Area for a Lab Technician and Phlebotomist at Diagnostep Healthcare, Ourlife Biolytic Solutions Pvt Ltd. The role involves collecting blood and other specimens using safe and standardized phlebotomy techniques, ensuring proper patient identification, labeling, and documentation. The lab technician is responsible for preparing, processing, and analyzing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and adhering to quality control procedures and safety protocols. Daily tasks include maintaining a clean and organized workspace, monitoring inventory of consumables, supporting test result reporting, and collaborating with clinicians and other healthcare staff to ensure efficient diagnostic services. The role also requires following regulatory guidelines, handling patient interactions professionally, and participating in periodic training and audits.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and experience working as laboratory technicians in a clinical or diagnostic setting.
Candidates should be proficient in the operation, care, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
Candidates should demonstrate solid analytical skills and an understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field, along with recognized phlebotomy training or certification.
Knowledge of specimen collection, handling, and storage, as well as familiarity with infection control and safety practices.
Attention to detail, accurate documentation skills, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions reliably.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare colleagues in a respectful, inclusive manner.
Willingness to work in shifts as needed, maintain confidentiality, and comply with all regulatory and organizational policies.
