About the Commercial Function:
The Commercial team sits at the heart of Officeworks’ growth agenda. This function brings together customer needs, product innovation, services, supplier partnerships, merchandise planning, and channel growth to shape what Officeworks sells, how it competes, and the value it delivers across Retail, B2B, Government, and Education. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the business’s most commercially impactful areas.
The team plays a key role in evolving Officeworks’ product and service offering, accelerating growth in high-potential channels (such as B2B and Education), expanding private label and exclusive ranges, strengthening supplier partnerships, and unlocking emerging category opportunities across areas like technology, gaming, mobility, VR, print, installation, telco, and managed services.
You will help build commercial capability from the ground up, shaping scalable ways of working, strengthening planning and decision-making, and driving outcomes that impact sales, margin, customer experience, inventory performance, and long-term growth.

Why this role exists:
The Associate Replenishment Manager leads the Demand Planning and Supply Planning functions, ensuring Officeworks has an objective view of expected customer demand and an executable supply response across assigned category portfolios.
The role establishes the planning standards, governance and performance expectations that connect commercial priorities with supply chain execution. It leads the demand and supply components of the integrated planning process, ensuring assumptions, constraints, risks and trade-offs are visible and resolved through the appropriate decision forums.
Through effective team leadership and cross-functional coordination, the Associate Replenishment Manager drives product availability while balancing supplier constraints, inventory health and working capital requirements. The role is accountable for planning performance, systemic risk resolution and the ongoing development of team and system capability.
Who you will be working with:
Demand and Supply Planning teams: Lead the teams responsible for demand forecasting, supply planning, replenishment execution and supplier exception management.
Inventory Planning: Partner on inventory requirements, product availability and network impacts while maintaining clear accountability for store and channel allocation.
Merchandise Planning and Category: Integrate category, range, pricing, promotional and product lifecycle priorities into the planning process.
Marketing, Stores and Online: Ensure relevant customer, event and channel insights are reflected in planning assumptions.
Finance: Align planning outputs with financial expectations and evaluate material inventory and working capital trade-offs.
Supply chain and logistics: Work with International Logistics, Domestic Transport, Distribution Centers and EDI teams to resolve systemic inbound supply and operational constraints.
Suppliers and Sourcing: Act as a senior escalation point for material capacity, lead-time and supply continuity risks.
Inventory Optimization, Data and Technology: Improve planning systems, data, automation and decision support capability
What success looks like:
Integrated planning: Demand and supply planning processes provide a coherent and timely view of demand, supply capability, assumptions and risks.
Forecast performance: Forecast accuracy, bias and forecast value add improve across assigned category portfolios.
Availability and inventory health: Product availability is supported while inventory investment, stockturn, excess stock, ageing and obsolescence remain within agreed expectations.
Supply execution: Material supply risks are identified early and supported by effective mitigation and recovery plans.
Governance and decision quality: Planning assumptions, overrides, trade-offs and decisions are transparent, evidence-based and documented.
Process and system performance: Relex and related planning processes operate effectively, with fewer recurring exceptions and non-value-adding manual workarounds.
Team capability: Demand and Supply Planners have clear accountabilities, strong technical capability and effective development and succession plans.
Stakeholder confidence: Commercial, financial and operational stakeholders receive timely insight and clear recommendations to support decisions.

Where you will make a difference:
In this role you will:
Demand and Supply Planning Leadership:
Lead the Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams, setting clear priorities, accountabilities, decision rights and performance expectations.
Establish consistent planning standards, processes and ways of working across both functions.
Build a high-performing team through structured coaching, regular feedback, performance management, succession planning and development opportunities.
Create an inclusive and connected team environment across locations, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
Maintain the integrity of the unconstrained demand forecast while ensuring it is translated into an aligned and executable replenishment response.
Integrated Planning and S&OP Governance:
Lead the demand and supply components of the Sales and Operations Planning process, ensuring a coherent view of expected demand, inventory requirements, supply constraints and business risks.
Lead weekly and monthly demand and supply reviews, ensuring decisions, actions, assumptions and unresolved issues are clearly documented.
Ensure promotions, seasonal events, product launches, pricing activity, range transitions and other commercial initiatives are supported by quantified demand and supply assumptions.
Ensure an approved demand plan is provided to Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Finance and other downstream teams in line with the planning calendar.
Present demand and supply scenarios, constraints, trade-offs and recommendations to senior stakeholders for decision.
Escalate unresolved risks and decisions that fall outside the team’s delegated authority.
Supply Execution and Replenishment Control:
Oversee end-to-end retail replenishment from supplier to DC and DC to store, ensuring inventory requirements, supplier commitments and operational constraints are reflected in executable plans.
