Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Phantom Softworks is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This position manages financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cash flow, and long-term financial strategy to support sustainable growth. The CFO prepares and reviews financial statements, leads financial reporting processes, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring key financial metrics, providing analytical insights to executive leadership, guiding investment decisions, and managing relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners. The role also involves building and mentoring the finance team, implementing robust internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to align financial goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Analytical Skills to support strategic decision-making and performance analysis.
Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting to manage budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably as a CFO or similar capacity in a technology or software company.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, corporate finance, and financial modeling.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute long-term financial strategies and manage risk.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is highly beneficial.
Comfort working in a fully remote environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
