Role Description
The Payroll & Statutory Compliance Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Tirunelveli. The role involves managing monthly payroll processing and ensuring timely and accurate compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements. Daily responsibilities include processing employee attendance and payroll data, calculating wages and statutory deductions, and coordinating salary disbursements. The role will also be responsible for monthly EPF and ESI calculations, preparation and submission of ECR, and maintaining employee records on EPFO and ESIC portals. Responsibilities include UAN generation, ESI registration, KYC updates, employee exit formalities, and assisting employees with EPF withdrawals, transfers, corrections, and ESI-related procedures. The Payroll & Statutory Compliance Executive will maintain statutory registers and records, support audits and inspections, and coordinate with HR, Accounts, and project teams to ensure accurate and timely statutory payments, filings, and documentation.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Payroll Management and Statutory Compliance, with practical knowledge of EPF, ESI, and applicable Indian labour laws.
Hands-on experience with EPFO and ESIC portals, including ECR preparation and monthly statutory filings.
Strong MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data validation, and basic payroll calculations.
Proven analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to review attendance and payroll data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate salary processing.
Effective communication and coordination skills to work with employees, HR, Accounts, project teams, and external authorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), Human Resources, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance is preferred.
Experience with payroll software, HRMS platforms, or employee management systems will be an advantage.
Ability to maintain confidential employee and payroll information with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
Ability to work on-site in Tirunelveli, manage multiple deadlines, and ensure timely completion of payroll and statutory compliance activities.
