Drive shop-floor efficiency, optimize production workflows, and minimize material waste through effective line balancing, accurate SAM derivation, continuous training, and Lean manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities
IE & Line Planning: Prepare Operation Breakdown (OB), derive SAM (using vector times), conduct capacity studies, and prepare line layouts.
Line Balancing & Bottlenecks: Dynamically balance lines based on real-time absenteeism, monitor bottlenecks, and assign "Champion Operators" to resolve floor issues.
Production Execution & Changeover: Manage quick style changeovers, secure input flow to eliminate operator waiting time, and perform hourly production and size/shipment closure follow-ups.
Operator Training & Multi-Skilling: Onboard freshers using specialized sewing techniques, execute multi-skilling plans (PVF matrix), and train operators on upcoming critical styles.
Continuous Improvement & Waste Control: Track and reduce thread/material over-consumption, maintain 5S standards, and execute Kaizen projects to improve overall line performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Garment Production, or Textile Technology.
Experience: 5+ years of IE experience in garment manufacturing.
