The Opportunity
BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Warehouse Team Member to join the warehouse team based in Northgate QL. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.
This is a hands-on physical role where you’ll be required to operate overhead gantry cranes and drive forklifts to pack orders for our customers, while monitoring product quality and remaining committed to your safety and that of the team. You will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of our Warehouse Team Member role, allowing for future career development opportunities. No two days are the same, and full training is provided no matter your skillset.
What We Offer
These full-time, permanent roles offer a competitive weekly rate (pre-tax) starting from $1,124.28, with the ability to progress to $1,220.94, depending on your skills and experience (not including allowances). You’ll also be eligible for overtime, public holiday pay and quarterly bonus. Our operations run 5 days a week, with opportunities across day, afternoon and night shifts. Afternoon shift attracts a 13.27% shift loading allowance.
Job vacancy shift times include:
Day shift: 5:00 am – 1:00 pm
Afternoon shift: 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm
What Will You Do?
As a Warehouse Team Member you will work in a continuous physical environment. Your role will be to operate machinery to create smarter solutions for our customers, while monitoring quality and remaining committed to your own safety and that of your team. Working within a collaborative team environment, you’ll receive ongoing training and support. You will:
successfully contribute to a safe working environment
operating machinery to manufacture steel product
safely pack and strap our steel products
performing machinery maintenance and cleaning
be required to use overhead gantry cranes and drive forklifts
