Role Description This is a full-time, on-site freelance role for a Packaging Designer based in Gurugram. The Packaging Designer will create and refine packaging concepts for various products, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and market requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design layouts, selecting materials and finishes, preparing print-ready files, and collaborating with product, marketing, and procurement teams. The role involves translating brand positioning into functional and visually appealing packaging, iterating designs based on feedback, and coordinating with vendors or printers to ensure quality and consistency. The Packaging Designer will also support visual branding across related touchpoints to maintain a unified look and feel.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Packaging Design and Product Design skills, with an understanding of structural design, materials, and production processes.
Candidates should possess Branding and Graphic Design skills to create packaging that reflects and strengthens overall brand identity.
Candidates should possess Typography skills and a solid sense of layout, color, and visual hierarchy for clear, attractive packaging communication.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar tools) is beneficial.
Relevant experience in packaging design for consumer products, retail, or FMCG sectors is beneficial.
A portfolio demonstrating packaging projects and related design work is required.
A diploma or degree in Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field is beneficial.
Strong collaboration skills, ability to work on-site in Gurugram, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines are beneficial.
