Role Description The Sr. Manager Wedding Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading the planning and execution of high-end wedding events. This role oversees the entire wedding lifecycle, including concept development, vendor selection and coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and on-the-day management to ensure a seamless experience. The Sr. Manager Wedding Planner will work closely with clients to understand their preferences, manage expectations, and provide expert guidance on themes, decor, logistics, and guest experience. Day-to-day tasks include supervising planning teams, conducting site visits, preparing detailed event proposals and timelines, managing contracts, and resolving issues quickly and professionally. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with vendors, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and contributing to process improvements and service innovation within the wedding vertical.
Qualifications
Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple weddings and timelines simultaneously.
Demonstrated expertise in event planning and wedding planning, including end-to-end coordination and on-site execution.
Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking to align events with client budgets while maintaining quality.
Excellent customer service capabilities, with a client-centric approach, strong interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution abilities.
Prior experience in senior event or wedding management roles, preferably in large-scale or luxury events.
Ability to lead and mentor teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
Comfort with using event management software, project management tools, and standard office applications.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, business, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
