Instead of mass-producing and stocking inventory, shoppin’ creates every item to order, reducing waste and focusing on quality, fit, and personal expression. The platform combines intelligent style search by words or images with a design feature that empowers people to create looks that reflect their own aesthetic. Once a design is chosen, shoppin’s workshop hand-stitches the garment, ensuring that each piece is unique to its owner. This approach offers fashion enthusiasts a highly personalized experience while supporting more sustainable production practices.
Role Description The Fashion Stylist at shoppin’ will work full time on-site in Gurugram, collaborating closely with customers to understand their personal style, preferences, and wardrobe needs. In this role, the stylist will provide one-on-one consultations, curate outfits using shoppin’s AI platform, and guide customers through virtual try-ons and custom design options. The Fashion Stylist will help translate customer ideas into cohesive looks, suggest accessories and complementary pieces, and ensure each garment aligns with both aesthetic and functional requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting in-store appointments, maintaining an organized and inspiring styling environment, and partnering with the workshop team so that final pieces match the agreed styling vision. The stylist will also contribute to visual merchandising, support sales initiatives, and uphold a high standard of customer experience that reflects shoppin’s values of personalization and sustainability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Fashion Styling and Wardrobe planning skills, with the ability to create cohesive, personalized looks for diverse style preferences.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to conduct style consultations, explain design options clearly, and collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service capabilities to deliver a welcoming, inclusive, and high-quality in-store experience for all visitors.
Candidates should possess Sales acumen to recommend suitable products, support purchasing decisions, and contribute to store performance in a customer-focused manner.
Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in fashion retail or styling, familiarity with digital tools or virtual try-on technologies, a strong sense of aesthetics, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed.
A relevant diploma or degree in Fashion, Design, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred, along with a commitment to sustainable and ethical fashion practices.
