Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Merchandiser (Leather Products) role based in Delhi, India. The Merchandiser will coordinate with design, production, and sales teams to develop and manage leather product lines that meet market trends and customer needs. Daily responsibilities include planning assortments, preparing product specifications, monitoring sample development, and ensuring quality standards are met before bulk production. The role involves communicating with suppliers and vendors, tracking orders, managing timelines, and supporting pricing and cost negotiations. The Merchandiser will also review sales performance, analyze customer feedback, and recommend product improvements or new concepts to drive business growth.
Qualifications
Experience in merchandising, preferably with leather goods such as bags, accessories, or footwear.
Knowledge of leather materials, finishes, and quality standards, along with basic understanding of production processes.
Strong skills in coordination, planning, and follow-up to manage samples, orders, and delivery schedules.
Ability to analyze market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to inform product development and assortments.
Effective communication and negotiation skills for collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers or vendors.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address quality issues, production delays, or specification changes.
Proficiency with standard office software and basic documentation, including spreadsheets, reports, and product listings.
Relevant educational background in fashion, merchandising, leather technology, business, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience in the leather industry or in a similar merchandising role in Delhi or comparable markets is an advantage.
