Role Description The TGT Social Science role is a full-time, on-site position based at Laburnum Public School in Gurugram. The educator will teach Social Science to middle and secondary school classes, using engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment, encouraging critical thinking about historical, geographical, political, and social issues, and supporting students’ overall character development. The educator will collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events, attend staff meetings, and engage with families to support student progress and well-being.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong subject knowledge in Social Science and related areas of Science relevant to the curriculum.
Candidates should possess excellent Analytical Skills to interpret educational data, assess student performance, and adapt teaching methods.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and families in a clear and respectful manner.
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Education, including pedagogy and classroom management suitable for middle and secondary school levels.
Candidates should possess Research skills to update lesson content, incorporate current events, and use evidence-based teaching practices.
Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Science, History, Political Science, Geography, or Education, along with a recognized teaching certification, are preferred.
Experience teaching Social Science at school level, familiarity with modern teaching aids, and the ability to use basic educational technology will be beneficial.
