Role Description The Plant General Manager will oversee end-to-end plant operations at an on-site facility in Ahmedabad. Responsibilities include planning and controlling production, ensuring adherence to quality standards, managing maintenance activities, and optimizing resource utilization across departments. The role involves leading and developing cross-functional teams, enforcing safety and compliance protocols, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The Plant General Manager will monitor key performance indicators, manage budgets, coordinate with senior leadership on strategic goals, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. This position requires hands-on leadership, timely decision-making, and accountability for overall plant performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end plant operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in production planning, process optimization, and resource management.
Strong background in quality assurance, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate diverse teams at multiple levels.
Experience with performance monitoring, budgeting, and cost-control measures.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and with external stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment.
