1. About Our Client:
This organization operates in the federal data analytics and business intelligence sector, focusing on delivering data solutions that empower federal customers. It supports high-priority projects with significant visibility among senior federal leadership, particularly within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
2. About the Opportunity:
The Sr. IT Project Manager will lead a cross-functional team to manage and deliver a critical data analytics platform project for a federal client. The role involves coordinating multiple stakeholders, ensuring project alignment, and facilitating progress on initiatives with high visibility and impact. This position is key to driving project success and supporting federal leadership decision-making.
3. Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from planning through deployment.
Facilitate weekly meetings with senior federal staff to align project progress.
Develop and maintain relationships with federal stakeholders.
Resolve project blockers and align teams around goals and requirements.
Maintain project roadmap and schedules.
Identify and manage resources, risks, priorities, and activities.
Prepare and deliver status updates and reviews to stakeholders.
Manage budget forecasting, ROM estimates, and cost tracking.
Oversee and mentor junior project team members as needed.
4. Requirements:
U.S. citizenship.
Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field.
7+ years managing IT or technology projects.
Experience leading technical and strategy teams in data science, analytics, and data management.
Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Leadership, team management, and presentation skills.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience supporting federal agencies; DHS experience preferred.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000
