Role & responsibilities
The role will be responsible for translating brand and business requirements into high-quality architectural solutions, while driving projects from concept development through execution.
Lead architectural design for stores and develop design concepts, layouts, schematic designs, detailed drawing and construction documentation.
Ensure effective planning of customer areas, back-of-house spaces, service areas, kitchen/utility zones, storage and operational requirements.
Develop design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, customer experience, cost and constructability.
Review architectural drawings, material specifications, details and mock-ups.
Drive projects from concept stage through design development, tendering, construction and handover.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate architectural drawings with MEP, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, kitchen, signage, lighting and other specialist requirements.
Review BOQs, specifications, material schedules and technical details.
Evaluate materials, finishes, construction methodologies and design alternatives from both aesthetic and commercial perspectives
Preferred candidate profile
Professional experience in architecture, with significant exposure to retail, F&B, hospitality, commercial or similar projects.
Strong experience in end-to-end delivery of retail/F&B projects.
Excellent understanding of architectural planning, detailing, materials, finishes and construction methodologies.
Strong knowledge of retail and F&B operational requirements.
Ability to read, review and develop detailed architectural and technical drawings.
Should be able to travel frequently.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant design software will be an advantage.
