As LegacyX continues to grow and prepare for further investment and expansion, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Investor Relations & Fundraising Associate to support our fundraising activities.
The Role
The Investor Relations & Fundraising Associate will support LegacyX in identifying, approaching and developing relationships with potential investors.
The successful candidate will play an important role in building LegacyX's investor pipeline, researching suitable investment opportunities, initiating conversations with potential investors and arranging introductions and meetings with the senior leadership team.
This is a success-based role, meaning the position is initially unpaid and compensation will be linked to successful fundraising outcomes, subject to the agreed terms between the individual and LegacyX.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify suitable angel investors, venture capital firms, family offices, private investors and strategic investors.
Build and maintain a structured database of potential investors.
Identify investors whose investment interests align with LegacyX's sector, products, stage and fundraising requirements.
Conduct professional investor outreach through LinkedIn, email, networking events and other appropriate channels.
Introduce LegacyX to relevant potential investors and investment networks.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with prospective investors.
Arrange introductory calls, meetings and presentations between qualified investors and LegacyX's leadership team.
Follow up with prospective investors and maintain regular communication throughout the fundraising process.
Assist with maintaining LegacyX's investor pipeline and CRM/database.
Support the preparation and distribution of approved investor materials, including pitch decks, executive summaries and company information.
Research investor backgrounds, previous investments, sectors of interest and investment criteria.
Provide regular updates to the LegacyX leadership team regarding investor outreach and pipeline progress.
Work alongside the CEO, CFO and wider leadership team on fundraising initiatives.
Assist with networking opportunities, investor events and relevant startup/investment communities.
Ensure all investor communications are professional, accurate and consistent with information approved by LegacyX.
Candidate Requirements

Professional and confident in written and verbal communication.

Interested in startups, technology, venture capital, private investment or entrepreneurship.
Able to represent LegacyX professionally when communicating with external parties.
Desirable Experience

Formal investment experience is not essential if the candidate demonstrates strong communication, research, networking and business development abilities.
Success-Based Compensation
This is initially an unpaid, success-based position.
Compensation will be linked to successful fundraising activity and will be agreed in writing between the individual and LegacyX before the commencement of the engagement.
Depending on the agreed arrangement, compensation may take the form of:
A success-based commission;
A fixed success fee;
Equity or another agreed incentive; or
A combination of the above.
Any compensation will be subject to the specific terms agreed between the individual and LegacyX.
For clarity, investment is not guaranteed, and the individual will not have authority to promise, guarantee or commit LegacyX to any investment terms unless expressly authorised by the company.
Performance Expectations
The individual will be expected to demonstrate consistent activity in developing LegacyX's investor pipeline.
Performance may be assessed against agreed objectives such as:
Number of qualified investors researched;
Number of appropriate investor contacts identified;
Number of investor outreach activities completed;
Number of qualified investor conversations generated;
Number of investor meetings arranged;
Quality and relevance of investor introductions;
Progression of prospective investors through the fundraising pipeline; and
Successful fundraising attributable to the individual's documented contribution.
Specific targets may be agreed with the individual at the beginning of the engagement.
Reporting
The Investor Relations & Fundraising Associate will work closely with the CEO, CFO and relevant members of the LegacyX leadership team.
Regular reporting will be expected, including updates on:
Investors contacted;
Responses received;
Meetings arranged;
Investor feedback;
Follow-up actions;
Pipeline status; and
Potential investment opportunities.
Confidentiality & Company Information
The individual will have access to confidential information relating to LegacyX, including business plans, financial information, investor materials, technology, intellectual property and strategic plans.
All confidential information must be handled in accordance with LegacyX's confidentiality and intellectual property requirements.
The individual must not make unauthorised representations, disclose confidential information or distribute LegacyX investor materials to third parties without appropriate approval.
