Gravton Motors is a full-stack electric two-wheeler company, Built for Bharat. We design our own powertrain (motors and controllers), batteries, and battery swap technology in-house. Our flagship, the Quanta, became the first EV two-wheeler to ride from Kanyakumari to Khardung La: 4,011.9 km across 11 states in 6.5 days, climbing to 18,000 ft.

The Role
We are looking for a VP, Operations to own Gravton's end-to-end operations across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Vehicle Development, and Powertrain. You will work directly with the Founders, Engineering, R&D, suppliers, and manufacturing teams. Your mandate is to scale operations, improve quality and cost efficiency, lead industrialization and production ramp-up, and build the systems and teams that support our next phase of growth.
What You Will Do
Lead end-to-end operations across Production, Quality, SCM, Vehicle Development, and Powertrain
Drive manufacturing strategy, production planning, capacity expansion, productivity, and operational efficiency
Build robust processes, systems, SOPs, governance frameworks, and operational KPIs
Lead sourcing, supplier development, localization, inventory, logistics, and cost optimization
Establish strong quality systems across incoming materials, manufacturing, vehicle development, validation, and field performance
Drive new product development, industrialization, and production readiness
Strengthen the supplier ecosystem through development, localization, capacity planning, and quality improvement
Lead continuous improvement across cost, quality, delivery, productivity, and scalability
Build and lead a high-performing operations team with a culture of ownership, accountability, and execution
Partner with the Founders to turn business strategy into operational plans and measurable outcomes
Ensure operational readiness for new product launches, production ramp-ups, and capacity expansion
What We Are Looking For
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or Electronics
15+ years of automotive/OEM experience, with strong exposure to 2-wheelers, EVs, or electric mobility
Proven leadership across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Vehicle Development, Engineering, and/or Powertrain
Strong track record in NPD, industrialization, production scale-up, supplier development, localization, and cost optimization
Experience building teams, systems, and processes in high-growth automotive environments
Greenfield project or startup experience, with the ability to build operations from the ground up
Strong business acumen, leadership, stakeholder management, and execution skills
