Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role in the Purchase department based in Kanchipuram. The role involves managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including creating and processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The Purchase team member will coordinate with suppliers for pricing, lead times, and quality, and work closely with internal stakeholders such as production, stores, and finance to ensure timely availability of materials. Daily responsibilities include monitoring inventory requirements, comparing quotations, supporting vendor evaluation, and ensuring adherence to company purchasing processes and policies. The role also requires regular analysis of purchase data to identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate supply risks, and support continuous improvement in procurement operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Purchasing Processes and Purchase Management.
Candidates should possess practical experience in Purchasing and handling Purchase Orders.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making in procurement.
Knowledge of ERP or procurement software and basic MS Excel skills is beneficial.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are important.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment and adhere to compliance and quality standards.
