Senior Consultant - Accounting Advisory

Senior Consultant | Accounting Advisory | San Francisco (Remote) | Full-Time
Henderson Drake is working with a growing accounting advisory firm to find a senior consultant for their expanding US team.
This is a role for someone early in their advisory career who wants real exposure to technically demanding work. The firm handles a broad range of accounting and reporting challenges for clients going through acquisitions, IPO readiness, divestitures, and other significant financial events.
You will work directly alongside experienced advisers and senior client finance teams, contributing meaningfully to engagements rather than sitting on the periphery.
What you will be doing:
Support accounting advisory engagements across technical accounting, financial reporting, and transaction-related projects
Work with clients through acquisitions, divestitures, IPO readiness, and other strategic events
Research accounting guidance and prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation
Work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and finance teams on accounting and reporting challenges
Contribute to the preparation and review of financial reporting deliverables
Take part in client meetings, workshops, and project planning sessions
What we are looking for:
3+ years in public accounting, accounting advisory, audit, or transaction services
Active CPA licence or actively working toward certification
Strong US GAAP and financial reporting knowledge
Experience on technical accounting or transaction-related engagements
Good communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues
Strong analytical instincts and a genuine interest in developing within a client-facing advisory environment
