Role Description The Machine Learning Intern role at Weskill is a remote internship focused on supporting the design and development of data-driven and AI-enabled solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in building and testing machine learning models, performing data preprocessing and analysis, and contributing to experiments with deep learning architectures. The intern will collaborate with mentors and team members to document findings, improve algorithm performance, and help translate technical results into practical insights for training content and internal projects. The role offers exposure to real-world applications of machine learning while strengthening core technical skills.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures and Algorithms.
Understanding of Machine Learning concepts such as supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and model optimization.
Familiarity with Deep Learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) for building neural network models.
Working knowledge of Statistics, including probability, hypothesis testing, and basic statistical modeling.
Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in ML (such as Python) and associated libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant undergraduate program (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics) is preferred.
Curiosity to learn, attention to detail, and interest in applying machine learning to real-world problems and educational content.
