Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in the Pune Division. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities include supporting statutory and tax compliances, assisting in audits, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to clarify financial information, respond to queries, and contribute to process improvements. The Accountant will also help implement best practices in accounting and reporting to maintain high standards of quality and integrity.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management and financial reporting.
Experience with taxation and compliance activities, such as GST, TDS, income tax filings, and statutory audit support.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to work with spreadsheets, financial models, and reporting tools.
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills for reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, audit teams, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under time constraints.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/CPA/CMA or in progress) are an advantage.
Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or a similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
