The Role
We're seeking an experienced Staff Accountant. This role is designed for someone who understands the full accounting cycle and can step in quickly, managing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You'll play a key role in owning core accounting processes, supporting business expansion through acquisitions, and helping ensure an accurate and timely month-end close.
Location: Must be in The Philippines – Remote.
Environment: Philippines and International Teams.
Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1).
Time zone: Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time (flexibility between approximately 8-5, 9-5, or 9-6 ET may be considered).
Contract: Full Time
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience working in a U.S.-based accounting environment; experience supporting acquisitions, business integrations, or purchase accounting preferred; background in a fast-growing or private equity-backed organization a plus.
Skills: Strong understanding of the full month-end close process, general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and subledger-to-general-ledger relationships; hands-on Sage Intacct experience highly preferred; Halo PSA or similar Professional Services Automation software experience a plus; experience supporting external audits a plus.
Characteristics: Able to work independently with minimal supervision; strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; excellent written and verbal English communication skills; comfortable serving as the accounting subject matter expert and guiding administrative team members.
Responsibilities
Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure subledger activity is properly recorded, while assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing oversight as needed.
Help manage daily accounting operations while maintaining strong internal controls, and support financial reporting with accurate data for management reporting.
Assist with acquisition integration and accounting for newly acquired businesses, and help prepare schedules and documentation for audits.
Partner closely with the VP of Finance to free capacity for FP&A reporting and executive-level financial analysis, collaborating with and guiding Administrative team members as the accounting subject matter expert
