Job Profile: Test Analyst / Senior Test Analyst
Location: Chennai, India
Preferred experience: - 5-7 years
The Role:
The Test Analyst / Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for Connexis Guarantee, with a strong focus on Selenium, Java, API automation, and Karate DSL. The role will involve automation strategy, framework development, test execution, defect analysis, CI/CD integration, and collaboration with BAs, developers, and functional testers.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct automation feasibility studies and identify test cases suitable for automation.
· Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Karate DSL.
· Create reusable automation components, libraries, and utilities.
· Automate functional, regression, smoke, and integration test cases.
· Execute automated test suites across different environments.
· Perform data-driven and keyword-driven testing where applicable.
· Debug automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
· Integrate automation frameworks with Jenkins/GitLab CI.
· Collaborate with Functional Testers, Business Analysts, and Developers.
· Prepare automation execution reports, test metrics, and defect trends.
· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
· Maintain automation code using Git/Bitbucket, following branching, merging, and code-review practices.
· Support manual and exploratory testing whenever automation is not feasible.
Must - Have Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in Test Automation using Selenium, Karate DSL, or similar automation tools.
· Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
· Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
· Experience with API Testing, including REST/SOAP APIs.
· Hands-on experience with Karate, Postman, or RestAssured.
· Experience with TestNG/JUnit.
· Experience with Maven/Gradle.
· Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
· Hands-on experience with Bitbucket/Git for version control.
· Strong understanding of STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing.
· Ability to write clear test cases and defect/bug reports.
· Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills while working with BAs, Developers, and QA teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of BDD frameworks, including Cucumber and Karate.
· Experience with data-driven and keyword-driven testing.
· Exposure to CI/CD integration and automation framework implementation.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
· Strong collaboration and decision-making skills.
· Ability to stay updated with industry standards and requirements.
