Design Engineer – Creo Harness & Schematics

We are seeking an experienced Creo Harness & Schematics Engineer responsible for the design, development, and documentation of electrical wiring harnesses and schematics for automotive/Rail/industrial/electromechanical products. The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in PTC Creo Cabling / Creo Schematics, along with a solid understanding of electrical systems, standards, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Create and modify 2D electrical schematics using Creo Schematics
Develop 3D wiring harness and cabling models using Creo Cabling / Harness
Perform logical-to-physical harness design and routing in 3D
Generate and maintain:
Wiring diagrams
Cable definitions
Harness assemblies
Formboard drawings
BOMs (Bill of Materials)
Integrate harness designs with mechanical CAD models
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, electrical standards, and safety regulations
Support ECN/ECR, design changes, and product updates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
Mechanical design
Manufacturing
Quality
Suppliers
Provide manufacturing-ready documentation and support during prototype and production phases
Participate in design reviews and resolve design issues
Autonomous and create value additions like Map keys to make the work simple etc.
