Role Description The Mechanical Fitter role at NTIEM is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, and maintaining mechanical components and machinery according to technical drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, carrying out repairs, and completing preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime. The role involves working with machining equipment, tools, and measuring instruments, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and reliability standards. The Mechanical Fitter will collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support efficient plant operations and respond to mechanical breakdowns as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Fitting and Machinery, including assembly, alignment, installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, with experience in inspections, repairs, and scheduled servicing of equipment.
Candidates should possess skills in Machining, including basic operation of machine tools and use of precision measuring instruments.
Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and work instructions.
Strong focus on safety, quality, and housekeeping in an industrial environment.
Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with maintenance and production staff.
Prior experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical maintenance role in manufacturing or industrial facilities is preferred.
