Manager – Data Analytics and Risk Monitoring

Overview
As a Manager - Data Analytics and Risk Monitoring, you will be responsible for managing the design and implementation of the monitoring framework required under Resolution 522 established by the Central Bank. This role will help ensure the network can effectively monitor payment flows and transactions, manage financial and operational risks, and meet regulatory expectations.
This position is ideal for a professional who can balance analytical thinking and execution, working cross-functionally to translate regulatory requirements into practical monitoring capabilities.
Role Summary
Operating at the intersection of strategy, risk, operations, and technology, you will manage the end-to-end monitoring program. You will work closely with stakeholders to improve data analytics and monitoring capabilities.
This role requires strong data analytics and monitoring experience, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a matrixed environment.
7+ years of experience in data analytics or fraud / transaction monitoring related roles, with strong exposure to data analytics solutions and reporting automation.
7+ years of working in Payments or Banking companies, covering Transaction Monitoring, Fraud, AML and/or other risk monitoring solutions. Strong knowledge and exposure to risk management regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights, inform decisions, and assess risk and performance, including relevant technical skills in (SQL, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI and Tableau).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including advanced command of English (mandatory).
Demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and translate insights into business impact.
Experience leading and developing high-performing analytics teams.
Develop and automate Reports, KPIs and develop dashboards through Power BI, SQL, Excel and other data analytics solutions.
Lead cross-functional analyses by synthesizing transactional, media, and behavioural data into clear and actionable recommendations.
Prepare monitoring reports and escalate non-compliance transactions.
Drive end-to-end monitoring solutions in line with Res 522 - from problem framing to monitoring model deployment.
Enable self-service analytics by improving discoverability, accessibility, and usability of governed data assets.
Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to improve data management and analytics capabilities.
Foster a culture of ownership, analytical rigor, and proactive, hypothesis-driven problem solving.
Partner with Compliance, Risk Management and Legal to support regulatory engagement, reporting, and ongoing supervisory interactions.
Ensure all monitoring activities performed are auditable, traceable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
