Role Description As a Co-Founder – Ecommerce Expert (Personal Care division), you will lead the end-to-end ecommerce strategy and operations for Essential Derma’s personal care portfolio. This full-time, on-site role in the Kolkata metropolitan area involves building and managing online sales channels, including brand website and marketplaces, to drive growth and customer engagement. You will oversee product listings, pricing, promotional campaigns, and digital merchandising, while optimizing conversion rates and customer journeys using data-driven insights. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with product development, marketing, and logistics teams, managing inventory and order fulfillment, and ensuring a consistent brand experience across all digital touchpoints. You will also develop strategic partnerships, analyze market trends and competitor activity, and contribute to long-term business planning as part of the founding leadership team.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to interpret ecommerce data, track KPIs, and drive performance optimization.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and customer-focused messaging.
Proven sales skills with experience in online sales growth, revenue generation, and funnel optimization.
Marketing skills, including ecommerce marketing, performance campaigns, and brand positioning in the personal care or skincare sector.
Research skills to monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies in beauty and wellness.
Experience in ecommerce management (D2C and marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) within personal care, skincare, or related categories.
Background in business, marketing, ecommerce, or a related field; entrepreneurial or founder experience is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in the Kolkata metropolitan area and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
