Role Description The Junior Software Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for helping design, develop, test, and maintain software applications under the guidance of senior engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, assisting in back-end web development tasks, debugging and resolving issues, and contributing to code reviews. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional team members, following established development processes, and learning new tools and technologies to support project delivery. The Junior Software Engineer will also help document technical solutions and participate in ongoing improvements to system performance and reliability.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of Computer Science concepts, such as data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP principles in practical projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Basic experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
