We are looking for an experienced Fast Track Fee Earner to manage a varied caseload of road traffic accident (RTA) personal injury matters. ALL REMOTE BASED MUST have the correct UK legal experience with UK right to work
The successful candidate will take responsibility for progressing claims from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation, providing a high standard of client care throughout. This role would suit someone who is confident managing their own caseload, making informed decisions and negotiating effectively to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Fast Track Fee Earner, you will:
Manage a busy caseload of pre-litigated and litigated RTA personal injury claims outside the portal process.
Take responsibility for progressing files efficiently and appropriately from instruction through to conclusion.
Maintain regular and effective communication with clients, providing clear advice and managing expectations throughout the claim.
Investigate and assess liability, including more complex disputes, motorcycle accident claims and cases where liability is denied.
Review medical evidence and assess the value of claims involving multiple or more complex injuries.
Undertake relevant legal research and consider applicable case law when assessing damages.
Prepare schedules of special damages and assess appropriate levels of general damages, including compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenity.
Conduct negotiations with insurers, solicitors and other third parties with the aim of securing appropriate settlements for clients.
Identify matters where issuing proceedings is appropriate and progress cases through the litigation process.
Prepare court documentation and proceedings, complete directions questionnaires and ensure compliance with court orders, procedural requirements and deadlines.
Prepare documentation for disclosure and other stages of litigation.
Handle telephone hearings where required and coordinate the preparation and submission of supporting evidence.
Instruct counsel, medical experts and other relevant professionals where necessary.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records while ensuring files are progressed in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous experience independently managing a caseload of pre-litigated RTA personal injury claims.
A sound working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and the litigation process.
Strong organisational and case-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively across a busy workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse evidence and identify relevant issues.
Confidence in negotiating settlements and making considered tactical decisions on claims.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
Good judgement, initiative and practical problem-solving skills.
Competence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
A commitment to maintaining and developing professional knowledge.
Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX lawyer with appropriate practising rights would be advantageous but is not essential where the candidate can demonstrate suitable experience.
