Role Overview
As a University Admissions Counsellor & Advisor at Univeera, you will work closely with high-school students and their parents to guide them through the complete university admissions journey. You will help students identify suitable majors, build university shortlists, explore scholarships, prepare application documents, and submit strong applications to universities worldwide.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of international admissions, including the Common Application, UCAS, and other university application systems, and be comfortable advising students applying to universities in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East.
Responsibilities
Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions with students and parents.
Help students identify suitable majors based on their interests, academic profile, strengths, and career goals.
Assess students’ grades, extracurricular activities, test scores, budget, and university preferences.
Develop personalized university application plans and timelines.
Research and recommend suitable universities, programs, scholarships, and admission pathways.
Create balanced university shortlists, including reach, target, and safe options.
Guide students through application platforms such as the Common App and UCAS.
Advise students on application requirements, deadlines, entrance exams, English-language tests, and supporting documents.
Support students with personal statements, essays, CVs, activity lists, recommendation letters, and other application materials.
Review applications and documents to ensure they are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
Track application progress, deadlines, offers, and next steps using the Univeera platform.
Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and recommendations.
Guide students through scholarship and financial-aid applications.
Deliver university guidance and scholarship workshops for schools and student groups.
Coordinate with universities, schools, parents, and external partners when required
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in university admissions, educational consulting, career counselling, or student advising.
Strong knowledge of international university admissions and application requirements.
Practical experience with application platforms such as the Common Application, UCAS, and other university portals.
Familiarity with universities and admissions processes in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East.
Experience advising students on university selection, personal statements, essays, scholarships, and application timelines.
