NOTES: The role is centered around building AI-enabled and rule-based automation for middle-office reconciliation, exception management, and investment operations workflows. We’re looking for someone hands-on technically with strong software development, SQL, and AI/ML experience, ideally with financial services or investment operations exposure.
Role Overview
AI Developer focused on building automation for asset management middle-office reconciliation, exception management, and workflow improvement. The developer will convert business problems into scalable AI-enabled and rule-based solutions designed to reduce manual effort and improve controls.
Key Responsibilities
Build AI-enabled automation for reconciliation and middle-office workflows.
Automate cash, position, and transaction data reconciliation.
Develop exception classification, anomaly detection, break prioritization, and root-cause capabilities.
Partner with business, operations, product, technology, risk, and vendor teams to deliver supportable solutions.
Required Experience
Software development experience in financial services, investment operations, fintech, or enterprise technology.
Experience building automation, workflow, data, API, or AI-enabled solutions.
Knowledge of middle-office reconciliation, exception management, matching logic, controls, and straight-through processing.
Experience working with investment data such as trades, positions, cash, transactions, securities, pricing, corporate actions, and reference data.
Technical Skills
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
Strong SQL, data analysis, and data transformation skills.
Experience with APIs, microservices, integrations, cloud platforms, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production support.
Ability to create technical designs, data mappings, workflow diagrams, and runbooks.
Experience applying AI, generative AI, machine learning, or analytics to process automation.
Ability to build classification, summarization, semantic search, anomaly detection, and decision-support capabilities.
Understanding of responsible AI, privacy, explainability, oversight, auditability, and operational risk controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
Several years of software engineering, AI development, data engineering, automation engineering, or fintech delivery experience.
Strong analytical, technical design, communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with reconciliation or investment operations platforms such as VestmarkONE, SmartStream, Aladdin, Advent Portfolio Exchange, or similar tools.
Experience modernizing manual processes through workflow automation, STP, AI-assisted review, or exception management platforms.
Knowledge of brokerage, wealth management, banking, capital markets, managed accounts, or asset management operations.
