Job Description
About the Role
As a Placement Operations & Analytics Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the Placement Cell and students throughout the placement process. You will help coordinate interviews and placement drives, manage student communication, track opportunities and outcomes, and use data analysis and problem-solving skills to provide insights that help the team make better decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Student Communication & Scheduling
Communicate placement drive updates, deadlines, eligibility criteria, and interview details to students.
Address student queries and coordinate with relevant team members when required.
Coordinate schedules between students, placement coordinators, and recruiters.
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure a smooth placement process.
Data Analysis & Dashboard Reporting
Track and analyze placement data such as applications, offer rates, and student drop-offs.
Apply DSA and structured problem-solving techniques to analyze placement data and identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Identify trends and highlight key insights for the placement team.
Build and maintain dashboards to track placement drives, progress, and outcomes.
Explore opportunities to use AI/ML techniques for data-driven insights, prediction, and process improvement.
Job Opportunity Tracking
Record and maintain details of new job opportunities received by the Placement Cell.
Keep opportunity and application statuses updated.
Ensure relevant opportunities are communicated to eligible students in a timely manner.
Student Tracking & Coordination
Track student applications, interview stages, and placement outcomes.
Follow up with students who may require additional support.
Coordinate information and feedback between students and placement coordinators.
Follow through on pending issues until they are resolved.
Requirements
Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) and problem-solving.
Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
Comfortable working with Excel and Google Sheets.
Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts is preferred.
Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Knowledge of Google Apps Script is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to manage multiple activities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree.
B.Tech / Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Business, HR, or Data-related fields preferred.
Prior experience in data analysis, problem-solving, coordination, or student-facing roles is a plus.
