Back End Developer

I am looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a highly technical team working on scalable, high-load backend systems. This is a hands-on role focused on building and optimising distributed services where performance, reliability and scalability are critical.
Key Requirements
- Strong hands-on production experience with Apache Kafka — essential
- Solid understanding of consumer groups, rebalancing, offsets and retries
- Experience handling duplicate message delivery and at-least-once processing
- Knowledge of idempotency, deduplication and retry-safe event processing
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript. Candidates with strong experience in Java, Go, Python, C# or C++ may also be considered.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices
- Experience with gRPC or similar RPC frameworks
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB, DynamoDB or Redis
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments, preferably AWS/GCP
- Experience working with high-load production systems and participating in on-call/incident management
